Work, Study & Play Abroad

April 10, 2010

Summer’s coming up, and you’re probably thinking: “It would be really nice to travel.”

Let’s be honest – the first thing students want to do when they finish school is get the heck out of this city! – even if only for a couple of weeks. The problem is, your funds are low and your time is limited. In fact, you might even be ready to head into practicum mode straight out of school.

So, why not consider some study/work abroad opportunities? Every year, MacEwan offers new exchange programs. Some of this year’s programs are offered through:

Thanks to MacEwan International and the Student Resouce Centre, all MacEwan students have free access to the BIG Guide to Living and Working Overseas. It includes information about these topics:

  • volunteering and working abroad
  • how to develop global skills
  • international work tools and processes

It seems that very few students take advantage of these amazing opportunities, yet so many of them complain about their inability to travel. I think more of us should look into our options of working, studying and of course, playing abroad.
